Child hero in a complicated life situation - didactical application
Voláková, Miroslava ; Klumparová, Štěpánka (advisor) ; Hausenblas, Ondřej (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to outline different ways of utilising our two chosen literary works for kids and teenagers in czech language and literature classes taking place during later years of primary education. Each of the works presents a child hero in a difficult life situation caused mainly by a bully, where the hero eventually overcomes the situation but expends all his energy in the process. The thesis consists of two units - theoretical and practical. The theoretical unit sums up expert findings on difficult life situations in general and applies them during analysis of our heroes and bullies. The practical unit has been divided into two parts, each covering one of the chosen works. First, we analyse the work's didactic potential, then suggest its utilisation in class and finally reflect on our practical demonstrations. We have also included an additional chapter to the practical unit, describing further ways of utilising one of the works in classes, not only czech language and literature but others as well. Output of this thesis is formed by two commented worksheets and an efficiency evaluation of our suggested class preparations, based on the actual demonstrations. Didactic analysis of the topic of civic and political participation
Matějíček, Lukáš ; Dvořáková, Michaela (advisor) ; Zicha, Zbyněk (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the concept of civic and political participation in elementary and secondary school. Introductory part of the thesis defines terms of civic and political participation, there are also findings about civic attitudes of young Czechs based on international comparative researches. The focus of the thesis is to analyze the representation of the theme of participation at different levels of the Czech education system and to compare the concept of the theme in curriculum documents of selected states. This is followed by an analysis of the approach to the topic of participation by authors of approved Czech textbooks. The analyzes show that the theme of participation is insufficiently embedded in the Czech national curriculum and these deficiencies are reflected in the approach to the topic in school educational programs and textbooks. In the light of these findings, a didactic analysis of the topic of participation is carried out. The diploma thesis sets down the theoretical minimum for a given topic. The last part presents proposals of didactic procedures in teaching focused on topics of civic and political participation. Additionally, the thesis recommends projects of non-profit institutions and other initiatives that focus on selected aspects of the topic of participation.
